At our site in Berwick Upon Tweed we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative
Shift: Monday – Friday (21.00 - 5.00)
What does the role involve?
- Safe loading and unloading of lorries.
- Taking receipt of incoming ingredients and booking into store by checking off and documenting as complying with Goods In procedures and processing documentation accordingly.
- Taking receipt of Incoming Hygiene Materials and booking in to store by consigning to the appropriate storage location.
- Ensuring that the safety of all products is assured by the implementation of the Company’s HACCP procedures as they relate to Stores activities.
- Handling, Storage, Packaging and Preservation Procedures of stock in the Store.
- Ensuring that the ingredients that return to stores are covered properly and labelled correctly.
- Effective Picking of Ingredients to the picking list and safe transfer to production if required.
- Operating and Maintaining Stores equipment and vehicles (i.e. Fork Lift trucks).
- Disposal of Waste product and Packaging into the Waste Skips and confirmation of accurate reporting levels.
- Ensuring that all personnel pursue safe working practices.
- Ensuring housekeeping is maintained with the area kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Undertaking any tasks as reasonably requested by Team Leader and Warehouse Manager.
- Ensuring you report any equipment problems whether electrical, mechanical or damage.
Who are we looking for?
You will have a driving licence and have counterbalance and/or reach truck qualification. You will be a team-player, be co-operative and have good attention to detail and awareness of health and safety
The ideal candidate will be reliable, have experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
