Frances-Higgins Projects (FHP) are recruiting for an experienced Lead Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Supervisor to join a growing team delivering HV Substation projects across the Central Belt of Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, permanent position working on major power infrastructure projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for supervising mechanical installation teams carrying out the construction and installation of HV substation steelwork and equipment support structures, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Essential Requirements
- SPEN COMP Authorisation (essential)
- Proven experience supervising HV substation structure/steel installation works
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation practices within live HV environments
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Desirable
- Telehandler and other plant tickets
- Additional CPCS/NPORS plant qualifications
- Experience working on SPEN transmission projects

Location
Projects are based throughout the Central Belt of Scotland, so applicants should ideally be located in Scotland or Northern England.
