Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and implementing hydraulic systems for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic principles, being able to bent metal pipework, makes flexible hydraulic hoses and have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Assembly of hydraulic systems and components for various applications.
- Steel or stainless pipe bending / Forming (FS or Walform)
- Manufacture of flexible hoses
- Machining capabilities (drilling, milling and lathe)
- Collaborate with the design engineers, electrical & controls engineers to integrate hydraulic systems into overall project designs.
- Conduct testing and validation of hydraulic systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hydraulic systems during the design, implementation & commissioning phases.
- Provide support and training to workshop technicians when assembling, testing and commissioning hydraulic equipment (complete systems, components and/or sub-systems)
Qualifications:
- Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hydraulic system design and engineering. Previously experience, or significant knowledge of open loop hydraulic systems. Previous experience of closed loop hydraulic systems a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, fluid dynamics, and system components.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
