Urban Transit Solutions is seeking reliable self-employed/subcontracted School Transport Drivers to provide safe, punctual home-to-school and school-to-home transport for children and young people across Haringey North and nearby areas.
Pay: £400–£600 per week, depending on allocated routes, hours and availability.
Key duties:
- Complete scheduled morning and afternoon school runs safely and punctually.
- Collect and drop off passengers at agreed locations and follow route instructions.
- Provide a calm, respectful and child-focused service.
- Carry out basic daily vehicle safety checks and keep the vehicle clean and roadworthy.
- Communicate promptly with the operations team about delays, incidents or changes.
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, passenger-assistance and transport procedures.
Essential requirements:
- Full, valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle/passenger service.
- Enhanced DBS clearance suitable for working with children, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
- Your own suitable, safe and insured vehicle, maintained to a high standard.
- Valid vehicle tax, MOT and insurance that covers business use and passenger transport where required.
- Good knowledge of Haringey North and surrounding roads.
- Professional, patient and dependable manner.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to pass any required onboarding and safeguarding checks.
This is a subcontracting opportunity; drivers are responsible for meeting the applicable licensing, insurance, tax and vehicle requirements. Morning and afternoon availability during school terms is required. Experience transporting children, young people or vulnerable passengers is desirable.
Pay: £400.00-£600.00 per week
