Your Role
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating reliable and efficient programmes for the manufacture of precision-engineered components. Working closely with machinists and the wider production team, you will ensure new and existing jobs are produced safely, accurately and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating, editing and optimising CNC programmes
- Programming components from detailed engineering drawings
- Supporting machine set-ups and proving out new jobs
- Selecting suitable tooling, cutting speeds and feeds
- Improving cycle times, machining methods and overall efficiency
- Troubleshooting programming and machining issues
- Supporting machinists with technical queries
- Maintaining accurate programme records and version control
- Working with production teams to achieve quality and delivery targets
- Contributing ideas to continuous-improvement projects
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a CNC Programmer
- Strong knowledge of CNC Fanuc controls
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds and feeds
- Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Offline programming experience would be beneficial but is not essential
