We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Duties
- Install fire sprinkler systems according to design specifications and local codes.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing fire sprinkler systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty sprinkler systems, identifying issues through schematics and system design.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure proper system design and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to fire safety systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler system installation or maintenance is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and CAD software for system design.
- Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence may be required for travel to job sites.
- Relevant certifications in fire protection or related fields are beneficial.
