Folder Gluer Operator
Location: Shipley, West Yorkshire
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Days or double-day shifts, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Available during busy periods
I’m recruiting for an experienced Folder Gluer Operator to join a well-established packaging manufacturer in Shipley. With new machinery arriving, the business is looking for a skilled operator who can join the team as soon as possible.
The role
- Setting and producing straight-line, crash-lock and four-corner cartons
- Completing machine make-readies and adjustments
- Monitoring quality throughout production runs
- Maintaining production speeds while minimising waste
- Recording job information accurately using an MIS system
- Supporting overtime during peak production periods
What we’re looking for
- At least five years’ experience setting folder-gluing machinery
- Experience producing straight-line, crash-lock and four-corner products
- Experience setting J-packs would be advantageous
- Confidence working with lightweight paper through to heavyweight materials
- Familiarity with production MIS systems
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work days or a standard double-day shift
- Ability to commute or relocate to Shipley
