Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, possess good organisational skills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age is adhered to
- Restock supplies and manage stock levels effectively
- Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in setting up and packing down the bar before and after trading hours
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote specials or events
Skills
- Strong hospitality skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in beverage service
- Excellent serving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Effective time management to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
- Personal presentation that reflects professionalism and confidence
