Plant Engineer - Job Description
Reeds Construction & Engineering Ltd are a family run business that has grown from strength to strength into a successful and sustainable provider in the construction and engineering industry. We are looking to recruit an experienced plant engineer working on a range of heavy/light plant and equipment, including our extensive range of soil stabilisation equipment. Our dedicated team of experienced service engineers work nationwide delivering first class service and expertise.
The successful candidate must have gained experience in the fields of repair and maintenance on agricultural/construction equipment. This role will include working on specialist soil stabilisation equipment. The role can mobile (working from a van) or workshop based at our HQ in Devizes. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, plus overtime when required to meet the needs of the business.
Your Tasks
· Maintenance & service across all makes of construction/agricultural machinery.
· Effectively fault find across a varied range of construction/agricultural equipment.
· Component replacement or repair.
· Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections.
· Complete Machine overhauls.
· Ensure any parts utilised for jobs are communicated to the Parts department for accurate customer invoicing.
· Inspections to carry out maintenance on agricultural plant machinery.
· Accurate and punctual completion of timesheets, ensuring authorisation by the customer representative when relevant.
· Follow all company and site Health & Safety regulations.
· Wear relevant PPE in the correct manner.

Skills and experience
· Have relevant qualifications such as NVQ level 2 in plant maintenance or Land Based Engineering.
· Experience using service diagnostic software.
· Welding and fabrication skills a bonus.
· Experience using tablets/computer software.
