Smoking Pot Catering & Confectioneries Ltd is a growing food enterprise and commercial kitchen specialising in high-quality, authentic food preparation, meal catering, and specialty culinary products. As we scale our production, order fulfillment, and delivery operations, we are seeking a dedicated Catering Operations & Production Manager to lead our day-to-day culinary logistics, quality control, and business compliance.
Role Summary:
The Catering Operations & Production Manager will hold full operational accountability for our kitchen throughput, inventory management, food safety standards, and supply chain logistics. You will be responsible for streamlining business operations, managing procurement, maintaining FSA compliance, and driving revenue growth across our catering and delivery channels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational & Production Management: Oversee daily food preparation workflows, menu costing, portion control, and order fulfillment to meet commercial delivery targets.
* Supply Chain & Procurement: Negotiate with food suppliers, manage raw ingredient sourcing, track inventory levels, and minimize wastage.
* Regulatory & Food Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) regulations, HACCP protocols, temperature logs, and local Environmental Health standards.
* Financial & Quality Oversight: Monitor profit margins, analyze sales reports, manage operational budgets, and maintain product quality across all outgoing orders.
* Staff & Workflow Coordination: Supervise kitchen prep staff and delivery coordination, manage rotas, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
* Essential: Minimum 2–3+ years of experience in catering management, dark kitchen operations, or commercial food production leadership.
* Essential: Strong background in HACCP implementation, food hygiene regulations, and supply chain procurement.
* Degree or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Food Science, Business Operations, or a related field preferred.
* Excellent organizational, budgeting, and team management skills.
Salary:
* Offered Salary: £33,400.00 to £38,000.00 per annum (for a 37.5-hour work week).
Pay: £33,400.00-£38,000.00 per year
