Main Purpose of the Position
The Facilities & Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Rugby Plant's facilities, environmental standards and safety systems remain compliant, efficient and well maintained.
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, with a functional reporting line to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in managing site facilities, contractor activities, environmental compliance and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage facilities contracts, compliance activities and safe systems of work.
Support environmental, waste and sustainability targets.
Coordinate facility maintenance and site services.
Manage contractors, onboarding processes and performance.
Support and deputise for the HSE Manager when required.
Monitor site compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation.
Lead environmental reporting and regulatory activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across responsible areas.
Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and operational.
Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
Monitor energy efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
Provide practical support for maintenance and facility-related projects.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Environmental, Health & Safety or related qualification (desirable).
Project Management qualification (desirable).
Skills & Experience
✅ Facilities management experience
✅ Environmental and legal compliance knowledge
✅ Contractor and project management experience
✅ Knowledge of ISO management systems
✅ Manufacturing or engineering environment experience
✅ Strong organisational and communication skills
✅ Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
✅ Hands-on maintenance capability
✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office (SAP experience beneficial)
