We are a specialist measurement services provider in the Renewable Energy Sector leading the market in the provision of ZX 300e Lidar rental, power supply design, system operation, turnkey measurement services including meteorological mast installation services.
Working alongside ZX Lidars who are pioneering the use of laser anemometry in the wind energy sector, we are driving down costs and lead times for new wind farms and helping turbine manufacturers to monitor and improve the performance of turbines in the field. Our technology is particularly suited to marine applications where ZX Lidars are responsible for a significant number of wind measurements offshore, in support of offshore wind farm development. We are currently looking for a Wind Measurement Technician to join the ZX Measurements Operations Team based in Blantyre, Glasgow. The main focus of the role will be the installation, maintenance and decommissioning of remote measurement equipment delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, within budget, to the highest standard and satisfaction of the client.
As the successful candidate, you will deliver site and workshop based technical services safely, on time and within defined budget to a high standard as required by the Company. Candidates should have sound problem solving ability and be able to make decisions based on this ability. Experience in a similar role including the provision of technical services, in a renewable or energy related industry would be desirable. However, we are keen to speak to candidates with real world experience in either a technical, mechanical or telecoms environment. You should have a good understanding of the technical elements of making a project run to schedule and ideally have some experience of site operations. We are also keen to hear from candidates with mechanical, electrical or instrumentation qualifications and training or equivalent experience.

Site based activities are generally carried out in remote areas all year round. This may require work in inclement weather and lone working in remote locations over extended periods of 2 to 4 days.

The post holder may be required to work at height on top of wind turbine nacelles.

ZX Measurement Services will provide all necessary training specific to the role, including working alongside an experienced team member for the first 6 months of employment to develop the required skill set and to build confidence in the role.

Due to the nature of this role, a full Driving Licence is essential.
