Altrad Integrity Services are currently looking for an HSE Advisor to join the business to provide proactive health, safety and environmental support across our operations. This is an office-based role with occasional travel to both onshore and offshore locations, supporting operational teams to maintain compliance, promote a positive safety culture and drive continual improvement in HSE performance. Previous experience within the energy sector is preferred.
Key Deliverables:
- Work collaboratively with Operations teams to support HSE development, governance, learning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, providing timely and relevant HSE advice and support.
- Act as a visible HSE representative, promoting and reinforcing a positive safety culture across all operations.
- Analyse leading and lagging HSE performance indicators to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and support the implementation of location-specific and regional HSE improvement plans.
- Promote and support the delivery of Altrad's behavioural safety programme, encouraging workforce engagement and participation.
- Support operational teams in developing and delivering HSE communications, toolbox talks, training materials and site inductions.
- Attend HSE meetings and provide practical, solutions-focused advice to operational and project teams.
- Coach and influence colleagues to improve safe behaviours and HSE performance.
- Ensure HSE policies, standards, procedures and management systems are effectively communicated and implemented.
- Maintain compliance with the Altrad Integrated Management System (AIMS), client requirements and relevant legislation.
- Develop and maintain schedules for audits, safety tours, inspections and HSE communication activities.
- Monitor COSHH assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented and communicated to Project Managers.
- Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis is completed and lessons learned are effectively shared.
- Ensure incidents, observations and corrective actions are accurately recorded within Altrad reporting systems (AIRs) and closed out in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance HSE performance across multiple locations.
- Promote a culture of compliance, accountability and operational excellence throughout the business.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role within an operational, engineering or project environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence positive safety behaviours across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience analysing HSE performance data and developing improvement initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations.
- Good understanding of HSE legislation, compliance requirements and integrated management systems.
- Proactive, analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting systems.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within the energy, offshore or industrial sectors.
- Experience conducting HSE audits and compliance inspections.
- Experience leading or supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of behavioural safety programmes.
- Experience delivering HSE training, inductions and workforce engagement initiatives.
- Familiarity with the Altrad Integrated Management System (AIMS) or similar Integrated Management Systems.
- Willingness to travel to onshore and offshore locations as required.
