About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Catering Manager to lead the catering operation at a prestigious contract catering site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional who enjoys delivering exceptional food and service, developing a strong team, and creating a positive experience for customers every day.
Working Monday to Friday, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day catering operation, ensuring consistently high standards across food quality, service, presentation, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day catering operation, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered consistently.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the catering team, creating a positive and engaging working environment.
- Plan and oversee menus, food preparation, presentation, and service in line with client expectations.
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, hygiene, health & safety, and allergen management.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgets, costs, purchasing, and waste.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
- Respond positively to customer feedback and continually look for ways to improve the catering experience.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, training, and performance.
- Ensure all company and statutory policies and procedures are followed.
- Support the delivery of hospitality, events, and other catering requirements across the site.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the catering operation.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a Catering Manager, Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar senior catering role.
- Has experience managing and developing a team.
- Is commercially aware and confident managing budgets and costs.
- Has a strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and allergen legislation.
- Is passionate about delivering excellent food and customer service.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is confident building strong relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues.
- Can lead by example and inspire a team to achieve high standards.
- Is proactive, hands-on, and able to work effectively in a busy contract catering environment.
