Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
- Monitor food production processes to maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed and documentation is accurately maintained
- Collaborate with management on menu development, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control
- Assist in training new team members in food preparation techniques and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef with a strong background in food production and culinary arts
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service within a culinary context
- Previous experience in kitchen management roles is advantageous but not essential for all applicants
