Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service to our guests in a dynamic hospitality environment. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous, along with a strong understanding of food safety standards. Duties
- Welcome guests and take their orders with professionalism and courtesy
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Clear tables promptly and maintain cleanliness of the dining area
- Replenish supplies and ensure the bar area is stocked appropriately
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
- Support the team during catering events or special functions
- Handle customer queries or complaints politely and effectively
- Assist with setting up event spaces or dining areas before service
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- Barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude
- Basic food preparation skills are desirable but not essential
