Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper to support the management of our housekeeping team within a prestigious hotel environment. Duties
- Assist the Head Housekeeper in overseeing daily housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently among team members.
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linen, placing orders when necessary.
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed by all team members.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives within the housekeeping department.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with a solid understanding of hospitality standards.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, capable of motivating a team to achieve excellence.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff and guests.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to hospitality environments.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
