We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Vehicle Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and passion for Classic Volkswagens, with the ability to diagnose, repair, service and maintain vehicles to a high standard. This is a hands-on role working on a variety of classic air-cooled and water-cooled VW's, so attention to detail and a genuine interest in the VW's is essential.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out servicing, inspections, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis on Classic Volkswagens. The role will involve everything from routine servicing and mechanical repairs through to more complex diagnostic, full mechanical rebuilds and restoration work.
You will need to be able to manage your own schedule, order parts for multiple ongoing projects and record detailed timesheets.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working on air-cooled vehicles, ideally classic Volkswagens.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical workshop skills.
- Experience with engine servicing, rebuilding and repairs.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for classic and air-cooled vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience with welding, fabrication, electrical work or vehicle restoration would be an advantage, although not essential.
