The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to provide setting-out, surveying, and technical support across our groundworks and civils projects. You'll work closely with the Contracts Manager and project teams to ensure works are delivered to specification, on programme, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works using GPS/Total Station equipment in line with design drawings
- Carrying out accurate site surveys and levels
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensuring works are constructed in accordance with design and quality standards
- Liaising with designers, subcontractors, and the site team to resolve technical queries
- Monitoring and recording progress, including as-built records
- Supporting quality control, snagging, and inspection processes
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures on site
- Assisting with material take-offs and quantity checks
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records and documentation
What We're Looking For
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civils/groundworks (residential, commercial, or infrastructure)
- Competent in the use of GPS and Total Station setting-out equipment
- Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, and earthworks operations
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations and site health & safety requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS, First Aid, and/or Temporary Works Coordinator training (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to work well within a team and manage own workload on site

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
