WHAT TO EXPECT
Come and join JLR as a Homologation Vehicle Engineer.
You will be poised to play a pivotal role in managing the receipt, preparation and onward delivery of the homologation vehicle fleet, for all JLR models, for all markets.
You will be an instrumental part of the Certification & Homologation process and co-ordinate the critical requirements for our vehicles, to make ready for their inspection and testing in-front of the market authority representatives.
This role will be hands-on and will involve a large amount of on-site direction with the product, including close interaction with the people who can deliver the process outcomes.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Oversee the ordering, timing and receipt of all Homologation vehicles, working closely with upstream stakeholders to ensure vehicles are on time and to the required specification and standard

Plan all pre-testing and vehicle reworks necessary to ensure the product is ready for the next stage of the homologation process

Organise and co-ordinate Engineering areas and Workshop teams to ensure Homologation cars are made ready for next stage processes. Ensure on-time delivery and correct quality standards achieved

Supervise the onward delivery and shipping of Homologation vehicles. Review and report with key stakeholders to ensure transparency of process and escalation of issues

Support technical inspections for vehicles, using certified data, supporting Certification Engineers for markets and models
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Clean UK valid Driving Licence

Absolute accuracy in handling technical data and information

Confident with interpreting technical data across a range of engineering subjects

An Automotive background with a good understanding of components, systems and testing

A desire to improve process and prevent problem recurrence
