About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Line Leader to oversee the day-to-day running of a production line, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met. You will lead a team of operatives, drive performance, and support continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys people management, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a production line team to achieve daily production targets
- Ensure all products are manufactured safely, on time, and to required quality standards
- Monitor line performance, identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime
- Allocate labour effectively and ensure correct staffing levels across the shift
- Carry out start-up, changeovers, and end-of-shift handovers
- Enforce health & safety, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Complete production records, checks, and reports accurately
- Train, coach, and support team members to improve skills and performance
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Management teams to drive continuous improvement
What we are looking for
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality standards
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Confident using basic production systems and documentation
- Flexible approach to working shifts
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience within food production or FMCG
- Knowledge of HACCP, BRC, or similar food safety standards
Working hours
This shift is 5 out of 7 days including weekend work, 6am – 3pm
