The Food Production Operative is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process within a food production environment. The role requires adherence to strict hygiene and health and safety standards, ensuring products meet quality requirements and production targets are achieved efficiently. The operative works on the production line, handling raw materials, operating machinery, and carrying out packaging duties as necessary. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely are essential to maintain product consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
Monday - Friday/Saturday - 0600-1600
- Prepare and handle raw materials in accordance with production schedules and specifications.

Operate food production machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines.

Monitor production line to identify and report any faults, defects, or deviations from quality standards.

Carry out packaging, labelling, and sorting of finished products accurately and promptly.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.

Comply with all health and safety regulations, wearing protective equipment as required.

Record production data and complete necessary documentation accurately.

Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.

Experience in working within a team and following strict procedures is preferred.
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene principles.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.

Good manual dexterity and physical fitness to undertake repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.

- Formal food hygiene certification (Level 2 or equivalent).

Experience operating food production machinery or equipment.
