Little Town Farm Shop is a family-run business looking for a passionate and experienced Cook / Chef to join our friendly kitchen team.
This is a full-time role (32-35 hours per week) worked over 4 days, with one weekend day off every week ideal for someone seeking a better work–life balance.
You will be preparing high quality, fresh food using locally sourced ingredients in a fast-paced but supportive environment. We pride ourselves on a happy kitchen and strong teamwork.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and presenting food to a high standard.
- Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen.
- Supporting and guiding other kitchen staff.
- Managing stock, food rotation (FIFO) and minimising waste.
- Assisting the Head Chef with kitchen organisation and menu ideas.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience cooking with fresh food.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work well under pressure.
- A team player with initiative and creativity.
- Able to travel to and from site independently.(Please note: The farm shop is located in Longridge, on the outskirts of Preston and is not situated on a bus route.)
