Job Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Dust Cart Driver to join our team. This role involves operating refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently while supporting waste collection services within the local area.
Working Hours
- Tuesday to Friday
- 6:00am – 6:00pm
- 1 hour unpaid break each shift
- 36 paid hours per week
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 dust cart/refuse vehicle
- Carry out scheduled waste and recycling collections
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Follow all health & safety and road traffic regulations
- Work closely with loaders and the wider waste collection team
- Maintain a professional attitude with members of the public
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous dust cart or refuse collection experience preferred
- Good understanding of driver hours and road safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early starts
Pay & Benefits
- £18.45 per hour
