Packing Operatives
About the role:
IVC Brunel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Packing Operatives to join our busy packing team in Swadlincote.
You will work as part of the Packing Department, helping to ensure that our products are packed safely, accurately and efficiently. This is a practical role involving product inspections, quality checks, completion of production paperwork and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and good manufacturing practice (GMP)
Previous production experience would be helpful, but is not essential as appropriate training will be provided.
Shift Pattern:
Various shifts including rotating morning and afternoons, and nights also available
Key tasks:
- Carry out packing operations from the start through to the completion of a production run.
- Inspect products and packaging components to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
- Complete in-process checks and accurately record production information.
- Complete batch packing records, shift reports, sample sheets, pallet cards and other relevant documentation.
- Check product details, labels, batch numbers and date codes for accuracy.
- Keep production lines supplied with the necessary packaging components.
- Assist with production-line set-up and changeovers.
- Change label reels and shrink-wrap rolls when required.
- Palletise, wrap and prepare finished products correctly.
- Carry out basic line tasks, such as clearing blockages and restarting machinery.
- Clean packing lines, machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain high standards of GMP, safety and housekeeping.
- Work flexibly between the Packing and Soft Gel departments when required.
- Support the wider team in meeting production and customer requirements.
