We are currently recruiting for a Third in Charge. This is a full-time position – Monday-Friday working hours during 8am-5.30pm.
Please note this is a term time position.

Responsibilities
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing the daily running of a nursery, ensuring everything is in line with Ofsted and EYFS standards
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of passionate childcare professionals
- Creating a welcoming environment where children and parents feel like part of the Ashbourne family
- Managing staffing, and resources to make sure everything runs smoothly
- Building strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them updated on their child’s progress
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children by following safeguarding protocols and health & safety guidelines
About You
- You hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification .
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a successful nursery.
- You’re a natural leader with a passion for working with children and supporting a team
- You have a great understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and all relevant regulations
- You’re organised, approachable, and a great communicator
- You truly care about creating a positive, nurturing environment for both children and staff

Essential Criteria
Applicants must:
Hold a relevant level 3 or above in childcare
Have at least 2 years experience working within an early years setting.
Have a working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, OFSTED requirements, safeguarding and child protection.
