Key skills:
Previous experience in a similar role overseeing highways highways footway schemes, public realm improvements, various highway schemes, Reactive Maintenance / patching works, reinstatement teams, highway drainage installation, utility / trenching teams or similiar.
Good organisational skills, multi tasking, and planning.
Works would include overseeing various highway and footway schemes, footway and carriageway repairs both paving and asphalt, minor drainage, drainage works, street furniture, traffic management all types of highway and local authority works.
The role would involve planning and overseeing works for a number of crews of varying daily tasks all as above. This would include arranging permits, route planning, ordering materials, ensuring good output, problem solving, checking quality, maintaining spreadsheets, responding to client queries by phone and email etc
We are a well established Civil Engineering and Highways Contractor based in East London.
We are currently looking for experienced trustworthy Highways Reactive Maintenance Supervisor to work primarily on contracts in and around the North East and East London including but not limited to the London Boroughs of Redbridge, Enfield, Newham and surrounding areas.
Ideally to have CSCS and NRSWA Streetworks, SSSTS or SMSTS but not essential.
Ability to work well within a team, with other departments, as well as on own initiative and be adaptable to changing situations and solve arising problems.
