JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver with furniture assembly skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires our candidate to be well presented, and have effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
THE JOB
- Conduct daily routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle safely and efficiently while ensuring no damages occur, performing heavy lifting as necessary which may also include assembly.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures through our PDA system and documenting any discrepancies.
- May be required to carry out warehouse duties when needed

REQUIREMENT
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver with assembly skills is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
