We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes in accordance with specified recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking processes to ensure proper timing and temperature control
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent cross-contamination and accidents
- Support the training of junior staff members when required
- Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of stock levels and expiry dates
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills such as chopping, seasoning, and plating
- Experience serving food in a customer-facing environment is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning within the hospitality industry
