Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Finance Administrator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and previous experience working within a finance or accounts environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the wider business with finance-related administration.
Key Responsibilities
· Processing supplier invoices and matching them to purchase orders.
· Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
· Raising sales invoices and credit notes.
· Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts.
· Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs.
· Monitoring outstanding customer payments and supporting credit control activities.
· Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
· Processing employee expenses.
· Assisting with month-end reporting and account reconciliations.
· Handling finance-related queries from customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
· Supporting payroll administration as required.
· Producing reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
· Ensuring compliance with company procedures and financial controls.
· Providing general administrative support to the finance department.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
· Previous experience in a Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, or similar role.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Professional communication skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Desirable Requirements
· Experience using Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
· AAT qualification or currently studying towards AAT.
· Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
· Knowledge of credit control processes.
