Job Summary
Day Shifts Monday - Friday 6am-2pm/8am - 4pm/ 10am-6pm
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative / Order Picker to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic warehouse environment, supporting the smooth flow of goods from stock to customer. Must have PPT.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack items according to order specifications using appropriate materials handling techniques
- Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary)
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory, update stock levels, and process orders
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading lorries
- Maintain organisation of stock within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly and labelled properly
- Conduct quality control checks to verify items meet company standards before dispatch
- Support with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as required
- Perform regular stock counts and assist with inventory management tasks
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems or order picking software is a plus
- Experience in shipping & receiving, picking & packing, or stock control will be beneficial
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery is an asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stock movement or load/unload operations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfilment
