Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a positive attitude. Duties
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, dining area, and workstations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling sandwiches or snacks.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing any special requests or dietary requirements.
- Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista or waitress is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Good organisational skills to keep work areas clean and well-stocked throughout shifts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required; however, the position primarily involves daytime shifts.
