This role would suit someone with previous legal or paralegal experience who has a genuine interest in Family Law and is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience within a supportive environment.

The Role:
You will provide legal and administrative support to the Family team, assisting Fee Earners with the day-to-day progression of matters and helping to ensure clients receive a professional and responsive service.
You will gain exposure to a range of Family Law work while developing your knowledge and confidence in dealing with clients, preparing documentation and supporting solicitors with case management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting Fee Earners with a varied Family Law caseload
- Assisting with Family and Children matters
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence and court forms
- Drafting standard documentation under supervision
- Carrying out legal research as required
- Preparing court bundles and documents for hearings
- Assisting with client meetings and appointments
- Liaising with clients, courts, barristers and other professionals
- Uploading applications and documents to court
- Maintaining accurate client files and case management records
- Preparing attendance notes and telephone notes
- Monitoring key deadlines and assisting with case progression
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files
- Providing general administrative and legal support to the wider Family team
What They're Looking For:
- Previous Paralegal or legal experience is desirable
- Previous Family Law experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Genuine interest in developing a career within Family Law
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and empathetic approach to client care
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confident using Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, professional and client-focused attitude
