At The Growth Society, we help founder-led businesses build profitable, scalable and rewarding businesses that don't rely on the owner being involved in every decision.
Alongside this, we operate 650ned, our boutique finance operations business, providing bookkeeping, management accounts and strategic finance support to growing businesses.
Both businesses serve the same audience: ambitious business owners who want to grow better businesses.
We're now looking for our first Sales Development Representative to help us consistently get in front of more of those business owners.
The Role
This isn't a hard sales role and your job isn't to close deals.
Your job is to start conversations, build relationships and book qualified meetings for our founder.
You'll be responsible for creating opportunities through a mixture of LinkedIn, email, telephone and networking, helping us grow both our education business and our finance services.
If you enjoy speaking to people, are naturally curious and don't mind hearing "not right now" a few times before getting a yes, you'll thrive here.
What You'll Be Doing
- Research and identify ideal business owners.
- Build targeted prospect lists.
- Conduct outreach via LinkedIn, email and telephone.
- Qualify potential clients against our ideal customer profile.
- Book high-quality meetings into the founder's diary.
- Follow up consistently with prospects.
- Build relationships with referral partners.
- Arrange podcast appearances, speaking opportunities and networking introductions.
- Support webinars and events by driving registrations and attendance.
- Maintain our CRM and keep prospect information up to date.
- Work closely with marketing to maximise campaign effectiveness.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days you will:
- Build a healthy pipeline of target businesses.
- Be consistently booking qualified meetings.
- Create new strategic partnerships.
- Help increase awareness of The Growth Method.
- Become a trusted first point of contact for prospective clients.
About You
We're far more interested in attitude than industry experience.
You'll probably be someone who:
- Loves speaking to people.
- Is naturally confident and curious.
- Enjoys starting conversations.
- Doesn't take rejection personally.
- Is organised and self-motivated.
- Learns quickly.
- Wants to build a career in business development.
- Takes pride in hitting targets.
Experience in SDR, BDR, recruitment, telesales or business development would be beneficial but isn't essential.
Bonus Points If You Have
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience.
- CRM experience (HubSpot or similar).
- Experience booking appointments.
- Experience working with SMEs.
- Knowledge of business finance or professional services.
