The Role
As a Delivery Driver, you are far more than just a driver. You are the final mile of our customer journey and a key ambassador for the Greenmill brand.
Operating from our Bedford branch, you will complete between 6 and 15 deliveries per day, ensuring products arrive safely, professionally, and on time. Deliveries cover England nationwide, including regular long-distance routes and deliveries into London and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely and efficiently to customer sites across England.
- Complete long-distance and multi-drop delivery routes, including London deliveries.
- Follow all road traffic legislation, company policies, and health & safety procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent Greenmill professionally at all times.
- Follow planned routes and delivery schedules to achieve timed delivery targets.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or customer concerns to the Transport Planning team.
- Collect customer returns when required.
- Unload and process returned goods at the end of the day, ensuring correct labelling and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every delivery is completed On Time and In Full.
About You
We're looking for reliable, dependable, motivated individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 year's driving experience, ideally operating Long Wheel Base (LWB) vans.
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and geography.
- Comfortable completing long-distance delivery routes across England.
- Willing and able to regularly deliver into London and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong time management and organisational abilities.
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy products.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
- No DD, IN or TT endorsements.
