Job purpose: To work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Centre, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
Required:
- Team player
- Satisfactory DBS Check
- Ability to work on own initiative
Cleaning: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning toilets and bathrooms in both private rooms and communal areas.
Hygiene Standards: Maintaining high levels of cleanliness to ensure infection prevention and control, including sanitizing surfaces.
Waste Management: Safe disposal of clinical and domestic waste, including handling soiled linen correctly.
Environmental Maintenance: Ensuring a tidy, comfortable, and homely environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Health and Safety: Safe use of cleaning chemicals and machinery (COSHH), reporting any faults or hazards to managers.

- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of cleaning and laundry.

Laundry:
- Sort washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, dryer and iron.
- Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
- The following priorities apply;
- Bedding
- Towels
- Service Users’ personal laundry
- Serviettes
- Tea Towels
- Return the Care Centres washing to the linen cupboard and the kitchen
- Perform minor repairs to Service Users’ clothing
- Any clothes that are not marked should be marked and placed in the appropriate boxes after they have been laundered
- Return the Service Users’ personal clothing to their rooms and put away neatly
HOURS 8AM-2PM
Pay: £13.00 per hour
