Summary
The Key Account Lead role is responsible for providing commercial and administrative support across the business, maintaining accurate sales and contract information, supporting costing and gross profit analysis, and overseeing the administration of all commercial agreements, including The English Soap Company (ESC), white label, and contract manufacturing contracts.
Essential Functions/Competencies
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
- Establish, maintain, and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, distributors, and partners.
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of Gross Profit Margin (GPM) and product costing, working closely with senior management to support commercial decision-making.
- Confidently set up, attend, and break down trade show stands and promotional displays
- Represent the company professionally at national and international trade shows and events
- Engage with customers and prospects during events, generating leads and promoting products
- Maintain and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to the sales pipeline, customer contracts, and overall commercial performance, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Travel
This position is based in our Waldron Warehouse/Office and requires up to 40% travel.
Job Requirements/Education and Experience
- Proven experience in sales or key account management role
- Experience attending, setting up, and breaking down trade shows
- Confidence in conducting sales calls, meetings, and customer presentations
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally, including overnight stays
- ·Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence is required due to location of HQ
- Experience within a B2B environment
