Cox’s Boatyard is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Boat Builder to join our team.

What you will be doing
As an Apprentice Boat Builder, you will learn a wide range of skills while working alongside experienced boatbuilders. Your training may include –
- Boat construction and repair
- Woodworking and joinery
- Fibreglass and composite work
- Sanding, preparation and finishing
- Maintenance and restoration
- Boat moving and storing
- Using hand tools and workshop machinery
- Learning about boatyard health and safety
- Working as part of a small, but vibrant and friendly environment
Who we’re looking for
The ideal candidate would be
- Practical and enjoys working with their hands
- Reliable, hard working and keen to learn
- Interested in boats and the marine industry
- Able to work carefully and take pride in their work
- A good team player
- Willing to learn new skills and take instructions
Previous boatbuilding experience is not necessary – enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn are more important

Hours: Fulltime 39 hours per week
Pay: Apprenticeship salary plus overtime if completed
