HR Advisor (Midlands, North & Scotland)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm
Salary: up to £35k + up to 10% annual bonus

Purpose of the role
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, focussing on aligning HR strategies with business and people objectives to deliver a comprehensive service and provide HR administrative support to the business area you support.
Provide advice and guidance to line managers on HR policy and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with company policy and employment law.
Role Accountabilities
- Provide HR advice and guidance to line managers on HR policies and procedures ensuring they are consistently applied across the business
- Support line managers with first level absence and performance cases, aiming to resolve conflict and maintain positive employee relations. Escalate complex queries and cases to the Senior HR Advisor
- HR administration; updating and maintaining the ER case log and completing ER administration such as arranging formal meetings and writing formal ER letters
- Proactively manage all sickness with the support of the Senior HR Advisor and complete occupational health referrals
- Use HR data to generate reports
- Complete weekly/monthly HR admin tasks relevant to the business area, e.g. request monthly recognition awards, holiday reports
- Support with the implementation of change projects
- In collaboration with the Senior HR Advisor and L&D coordinate training programmes as required to support colleague development initiatives

To be successful you will bring some of the following skills/experience with you:
- Some knowledge of HR principles, practices and employment law
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- IT Skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes

- CIPD qualified or working towards or willing to work towards
