Job Summary
We are a new artisan dessert and gelato house in Camberwell Green serving locally roasted coffee for just over a year now, before this we used to run a Italian restaurant in the area for 20+ years operating with the same name.
We are seeking an experienced career barista with a genuine passion for coffee to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. The start date for this position will be immediate subject to your notice period. You will: -have experience as a barista at a specialist artisan coffee shop or one of the major London coffee chains.
References may be requested. -be exceptionally friendly, have excellent communication skills, enjoy serving customers and generally have a passion for working with people. It is essential that you are able to maintain our standard of serving coffee to our customers in an engaging and friendly manner and build a relationship with our regular customers. -pay attention to detail. -be available to work on weekends and bank holidays as and when required. -ideally live in, or not too far away from, CAMBERWELL.
We share our passion for a hygienic, tidy and friendly work environment. -enjoy working in a small but fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task (preparing coffees, gelato and desserts. -have excellent English language skills. -have the legal right to work full-time in the UK. In return we will provide you with a friendly work environment where there will be room to grow and gain new skills. We will provide an hourly rate of between £13 to £15 per hour or could work out daily rates for those interested in full time employment, depending on your experience. Ideally we would be looking to place you on a full-time employment contract with a very competitive annual salary after a probationary period.
