Role: Engineer NextGen IAM
Sheffield, UK
6 Months contract
Rate: 65 GBP per hour Inside IR35
Experience 7 to 11
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloudnative identity services and platform components
- Build APIs microservices and eventdriven integrations
- Implement features aligned with engineering standards and solution designs
- Develop secure integrations with enterprise identity platforms and thirdparty services
- Implement authentication authorization and identity federation capabilities
- Support Human Identity Agent Identity and Workload Identity solutions
- Develop and maintain PolicyasCode integrations and authorization services
- Build and support Infrastructure as Code IaC implementations where required
- Participate in design reviews and peer code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve application platform and integration issues
- Support deployments across development testing and production environments
- Produce technical documentation operational procedures and runbooks
- Ensure solutions meet security performance scalability and resilience requirements
- Collaborate with Platform Engineers Security Engineers Architects and Product Owners
- Contribute to CICD pipelines and deployment automation initiatives
- Support monitoring logging and observability capabilities
- Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies and team activities
- Identify automation opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support production incidents and problem management activities
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and engineering best practices
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Strong Software Engineering experience
- Experience in CloudNative Application Development
- Strong API Development and REST API expertise
- Experience designing and developing Microservices architectures
- Knowledge of EventDriven Architecture patterns
- Handson experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Gitbased source control
- Experience implementing and supporting CICD pipelines
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices
- Experience with Identity Standards such as OAuth2 OIDC SAML and SCIM
- Knowledge of Secure Coding Practices
- Experience with Software Testing and Automation
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in complex enterprise environments
