The Ursuline Sisters have recently celebrated 175 years of their presence in England.
This senior level position is planned to provide effective health care management to ensure the on-going support of the Ursuline sisters as they age.
This is a newly created post. The job description is a broad outline of the role which will develop and change over time. The post holder will undertake other responsibilities within the general requirements of the role.
Job Description:
Essential:
- Current NMC registration (Registered General Nurse).
- Previous experience in a senior nursing or clinical leadership role within a care home or similar setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- To be the liaison person with the Care Homes, local authorities and other partners who support the sisters.
- To get to know the Care needs of all the Ursuline Sisters.
- To establish and annually review policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of Care.
- To work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that complaints and disputes are dealt with in accordance with current employment law.
- Together with the Chair of Trustees and the Finance Manager ensure value for money for all matters relating to Care.
- To oversee and manage care staff.
- To lead and supervise medical appointments and medication orders.
- To review and edit care plans and risk assessments as required having consulted with key Care personnel.
- To ensure the timely, structured and transparent reporting of all areas of Care to the Trustees on a quarterly basis. Attend the bi-annual Trustee meetings.
- To liaise with at least one relative of each sister who is unable to do so herself.
General
Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
