We are seeking an experienced and motivated Panel Department Manager to lead our panel manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the design and manufacture of electrical control panels, MCCs and switchboards who has progressed into a supervisory or management role and is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a team of 2–3 panel builders/electricians.
- Planning and coordinating workloads to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
- Liaising with customers to understand requirements and provide technical support.
- Preparing quotations and cost estimates for new and existing works.
- Supporting sales activities and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Monitoring department performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure successful project delivery.
Candidate Details
We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:
Essential
- Previous hands-on experience in the manufacture of electrical control panels, MCCs, switchboards or similar systems.
- Experience in a supervisory, team leader or management position.
- Customer-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Experience preparing quotations and pricing works.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and industry best practices.
- Experience working within process and industrial sectors.
- Previous involvement in sales or business development activities.
Working Hours
- Full time – 37.5 hours per week, with overtime available
