Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Fitter and Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist our Experienced Mechanical Fitter with fitting our machine tools and jigs and fixtures. The role also requires the candidate to operate our CNC machinery working under our Production Engineer and CNC Programmer. The ability to learn quickly, become part of a team and want to progress and improve your knowledge and skills are essential for this role.
Duties
- Mechanical Fitting of our machine tools and jigs and fixtures.
- Operating 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC Vertical Milling Machines .
- Operating a CNC Lathe with live tooling.
- Operating other machinery in our factory.
- Ad hoc duties, as and when required.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Some mechanical fitting knowledge with some experience in operating machinery.
The biggest requirement for this role is the ability to want to learn and progress your knowledge of fitting our machine tools and jigs and fixture and operating our machinery. A positive, can do attitude is a must for this role.
