Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in the role of short order cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for the food preparation and serving of quick service meals, ensuring high standards of food safety. Prior experience in a catering setting is essential.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items, breakfast, toasties ,sandwiches making items
- according to customer orders
- Operate basic kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored following hygiene regulations
- Take and manage multiple orders at once
- Support serving staff during busy periods by preparing plates or assisting with order organisation
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Contribute to maintaining a positive team atmosphere within the kitchen
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Experience in meal preparation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality
Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
