Yorkshire Farmhouse are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our egg production facility. Working as one of four Team Leaders, you will share responsibility for supervising production staff, ensuring efficient daily operations, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and helping the business achieve its production targets.
This role is ideal for someone with previous leadership experience in a food production, manufacturing, warehousing, or processing environment who enjoys leading people and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support production operatives during daily operations.
- Work collaboratively with the other Team Leaders to ensure smooth and efficient running of the facility.
- Organise workloads and allocate tasks to meet production schedules.
- Monitor egg grading, packing, processing, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate production and operational records.
- Support the training, induction, and development of team members.
- Assist in monitoring attendance, performance, and productivity standards.
- Identify operational issues and work with management to implement solutions.
- Promote a positive, safe, and productive working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or senior operative role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and organise teams effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working within a production, manufacturing, food processing, or warehouse environment.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
- Flexible approach to working hours where required.
Desirable
- Experience within the food manufacturing or egg processing sector.
- Knowledge of food safety
- Relevant supervisory or leadership training.
