We are a rapidly growing team and are now looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our skilled manufacturing department.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a CNC Machinist with strong experience working with Haas and Heidenhain controllers. The ideal candidate will have a background in machining aerospace components, with a deep understanding of tight tolerances, high-performance materials, and AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup 3 and 5 axis CNC Milling machines according to setup sheets.
- Prove out new programs on Haas and DMG CNC Milling machines.
- Edit and write programs as required on Haas and DMG Heidenhain controllers.
- Check part dimensions from Engineering drawings using the correct measuring equipment, applying the correct tolerance.
- Work closely with engineers and quality to continuously improve processes and efficiencies
- Ensure machine maintenance is kept up to date.
- Ensure a high standard of house keeping at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience on 3 and 5 axis Milling machines
- Proven experience with Haas and Heidenhain Controllers.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environments.
- Background in CNC machining of Steel, Stainless, Aluminium and Polymers
- Previous experience in a low-volume, rapid response part manufacture
