Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklift equipment safely, and supporting warehouse management activities. Duties
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move goods within the facility
- Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and storing products in designated areas
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods
- Conduct basic repairs and maintenance on equipment as needed to ensure operational safety and efficiency
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Support the organisation of stock levels, conducting regular stock checks and audits
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as cleaning work areas and preparing goods for shipment or storage
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, shipping, and receiving protocols
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking within the warehouse environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic literacy skills for documentation purposes
- Valid forklift licence or certification is essential

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
