Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Flat Bed Auto Die Cutter to join our Print Finishing team here in Leeds. This role involves operating fone of two flat bed auto die cutters to produce high-quality Print and Packaging products, The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Print finishing and die cutting, and must be comfortable working with Auto Platens, and cylinders. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic Print setting.
Duties
- Operate the flat bed auto die cutting machine with precision, adhering to safety protocols and production standards
- Set up and adjust machinery for different die-cutting jobs, ensuring accurate alignment and operation
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely, following manual handling guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency and BRCGS standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Packaging or Trade Printing enviroment running an Auto Platen die cutters for 2 years or more is required.
- BRCGS or H&S training is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
