Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Trade Counter Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Dungannon.
This is a hands-on position responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the trade counter, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of sales, stock, and staff. You will supervise and train team members, support customer requirements, and help maintain a professional and efficient trade counter environment.
Key Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the trade counter
- Supervise, support, and train counter and warehouse staff
- Serve customers and maintain high service standards
- Maintain strong product knowledge across fixings, fasteners, and services
- Organise stock and coordinate ordering requirements
- Ensure accurate invoicing, pricing, and account handling
- Contribute to a positive, organised, and professional workplace
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle queries and resolve issues efficiently
- Good product knowledge and the ability to explain technical information clearly
- Proven ability to train and support team members
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Previous experience in a Construction or Engineering trade counter, builders’ merchant, or similar environment is essential
- Familiarity with the construction, engineering, or related industries is required
